quickie
this is the quick update -
the prospects that i'll moving to sweden have gotten darker. we shall see.
i was just in scotland for 2 weeks with the super-'rents. it was _awesome_ spending time with them, discovering the fun things about scotland (treacle toffee!), wellie shopping, visiting the furthest removed islands of scotland in cool but sunnybeautiful weather.
i took _many_ pictures in schottland, some of which i'm pretty proud of. there will be a photo-heavy post and recap soon.
i got home in time to see some of the first Euro Cup games (soccer). Right now i'm chuckling because the 2 hosts, Austria and Switzerland, lost their first games. Lucky for the german-speaking world, germany won. the germs all have their flags out and are having a feeling of national pride. it's cute. and it makes the whole environment here more cheery. funny is: the italians losing to the dutch today (the italians were world cup champs in '06 when i was here on my look-and-see trip).
